Acceptable Use Policy
What you must not upload, must not ask the bot to do, and must not do to the service.
1Scope
This policy applies to everyone who uses Mamori, in any server, on any plan, paid or free. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
Server admins are responsible for their members. Where a member breaks this policy, we deal with the server.
2Content you must not upload
Do not put any of the following into a knowledge base.
- anything illegal where you are, where we are, or where the service is hosted
- child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, or anything that promotes either
- malware, exploit code, credential dumps, or anything built to compromise a system
- material you have no right to upload, including work you neither own nor licence
- anything covered by a duty of confidence that uploading would break
- passwords, API keys, private keys, card numbers or other secrets
3Other people's personal data
Do not upload personal data about people who are not in your server, or who have no idea their information is being loaded into a bot, unless you have a lawful basis for it and can honour their rights.
Do not upload special category data, meaning health, biometric, genetic, racial or ethnic origin, political opinion, religious belief, trade union membership, sex life or sexual orientation data, or criminal offence records.
If you upload personal data you are its controller and we process it on your instructions.
4How you must not use the bot
Mamori is a documentation tool. Do not use it as any of the following.
- a way to harass, bully, threaten, stalk or intimidate anyone
- a generator of hateful, sexual or violent content, or anything against the Discord Community Guidelines
- a way to impersonate a person or an organisation
- a source of legal, medical, financial or safety guidance presented to other people as reliable
- a step in defrauding, misleading or manipulating anyone
5Limits, quotas and technical abuse
The limits are what keep the service alive. Do not work around them.
- do not evade per-server monthly quotas, per-person daily caps, request cooldowns or upload size limits
- do not spread usage across extra accounts, extra servers or alt accounts to get more than your plan allows
- do not automate the commands, script the bot, or drive it from another program
- do not probe, scan, fuzz or load test the service without written permission
- do not try to read another server's documents, questions, usage or costs
- do not interfere with, disassemble or attempt to bypass any part of the service
6Scraping and reselling
Do not scrape the website or the bot, and do not extract the knowledge base of a server you do not administer.
Do not resell, sublicense, rent or white label access to Mamori, and do not run it as a service for third parties, unless we have agreed to it in writing.
Do not use Mamori to build a competing product, including by collecting its output to train a model.
7Discord's rules
Everything done through Mamori must comply with the Discord Terms of Service and the Discord Community Guidelines. Breaking them breaks this policy as well.
8Reporting a problem
Report abuse, illegal content or a compromised knowledge base by opening a ticket in the support server. Include the server id and enough detail for us to find the content.
We treat reports of illegal content as urgent.
9What happens when this policy is broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may warn you, remove the content, pause AI answers for the server, remove the bot, end the account, or report the matter to the authorities.
Serious cases, in particular illegal content or a threat to other users, get immediate suspension with no notice.
We do not refund a plan that ends because of a breach of this policy.
